Soundwave MP3 Player

I'd buy it. Somewhere in my basement, I have a few of the cassettes that fit into Soundwave (as well as about 15 other Transformers).

Why I can't find a PDA that takes AA batteries

It's called tethering. It was the same way when I bought a digital camera. EVERYONE is starting to put proprietary batteries in their digicams. What happens when I'm out in the middle of nowhere and the batteries die on my camera/pda/cell phone, and the only available store is a gas station.

USB NES Controllers

USB NES Controllers as well as a link to free (legal even) ROM images. I think I'm calling in sick today...

What Harley Davidson could have been

Harlye Davidson almost built V-fours and V-sixes. Things would be different if that happened. Interesting to note that Porsche engineered these engines. Porsche also took care of the engines that are in the V-Rod; HD's only "cool" bike.

More on choppers

This guy has a good view on the high-end chopper market. On the same note, the is America; as long as people are willing to shell out $practically-the-same-as-my-house for a motorcycle, I'd cash in as well if I could.

New notebook on the way

I just bought a new work notebook. P4 3.2, 60gig*7200rpm, 512mb, CDR/DVD, 64mb Radeon 9700. It pays to keep an eye on TechBargains (Who told me about the $425 off outlet laptops), NaughtyCodes (Who told me about an extra $100 off "Coupon") and the Dell outlet (Who refreshed their online inventory RIGHT when I happened to be there).

In an alarmingly nerdy moment, I actually was a bit excited to find out that my notebook has the newer Prescott P4, with 1meg of L2 cache. I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

Just goes to show...

Even though there may be more than one way to do something, one method may be best. Flick, don't squash.

Friday, July 16, 2004 (SFW) You have to see it to believe it. Good thing I don't have Google AdWords.

Seriously, though. Cutting and pasting a coupon code for $100 off is a nice deal.

I don't know how to reply

The last sentence of this post says "I don't believe he uses Free Software; that means that Microsoft is not satisfying their customers, and Free Software can perform better than Microsoft even in the ease of use area"

The article doesn't mention any sort of specific software (Microsoft, open source or others). How this Slashdotter spun this article into a "Hooray for open source" argument is beyond me. I can only hope he was joking.

Two point nine four

2.94 pounds per horsepower from the new exhaust for the hayabusa. With a better rider than me, the bike is now capable of 9.4's and high 140's in the quarter mile.

The Beetles

The other day I was re-installing the mufflers on the Vette when I bumped into some beetle, which buzzed a bit. I danced around the garage like a schoolgirl for about 5 minutes.

I don't like choppers...

I don't like choppers. Sums up my view completely. Plus, look at the price. For $35k, I could buy my hayabusa, a C4 corvette a nice Jeep CJ7 two snowmobiles and a fishing boat... or I could get a chopper.

The only one's who have it figured out (imho) is the Confederate cycles light (for a chopper), fast (for a chopper) and handles well (for a chopper). Of course, it's $54,000. I think that's enough to buy an airplane.

New PDA coming tomorrow. I now have 4 PDA's (Rex, Treo, Nino, IPaq, i need to get ebaying). Reasons for this one: small, user replaceable battery, Bluetooth, PPC 2003 (so I can code apps if I want using .Net).

What I really want in a PDA is simple: One wire (Either use the USB cable to charge the battery or synch via Bluetooth), and a good way to enter text (Which I'm still waiting for... T9 works for me, but I don't want to pay anything extra for it).

I are blogging to

First Post! Going to try out the whole blog thing.
